GPS Education Partners

We believe our community is our best and we have a vested interest to see the youth within the community flourish. In September of 2012 we opened the first GPS Education Center at our facility. We cleared out an office area and dedicated it to the GPS program.

This program identifies Junior and Senior high school students that are deficient in credits and provides them an alternative to graduation. The students that are chosen for this program have the opportunity to earn their high school diploma and graduate with their classmates.

We have 8 to 12 students on site that hold class in the education center then go to local companies to work as apprentices within the manufacturing environment. Lakeside has at least 2 students at the same time learning different areas. The students earn an hourly rate while they obtain the education that is tailored for them.
We are proud of our first group to graduate – It was a pleasure to see the Class of 2014 obtain their diplomas.
